Happy Saturday friends! Am I the only one or does anyone else’s level of cheerfulness turn up a notch when they see a pineapple? I don’t know what it is about this tropical fruit, but something about it makes me smile. A couple months ago I was browsing home decor and saw a black and gold pineapple jar that I contemplated buying for the middle of our bathroom vanity…I didn’t end up making the purchase, but it got me thinking…where could I incorporate my obsession with pineapples as far as decor goes? My work office? A party? Yes! I’m absolutely dying to throw a party so I can play with this theme for the heck of it. Leave a comment below if you want to come and I’ll make sure to send you one of the pineapple invites ;-)!

Anyhow, back on topic -what about a bedroom? Hmmm…I love the idea, but would it clash with my current home style of French Country meets Industrial? My answer: come up with a vision board and see! A couple weeks ago I was pleasantly surprised to hear from Wayfair that I was selected to be a part of the Wayfair Homemaker’s Program this year. You guys, blogging about the home is one of my favorite areas in the lifestyle arena so this is a huge win, and something that I’m really excited about!

Our bathroom renovation, fireplace makeover, and farmhouse table posts are some of the most high traffic posts on this site -so it is my hope that this aligns well for you as readers too. Please give me a holler with any home-related topics you’d like to hear about and I will get to work with putting something together -it can be anything! In the meantime, I thought today would be a perfect opportunity to share ideas on what a pineapple themed bedroom could look like, all with products furnished by Wayfair. My starting point was the pineapple jar I mentioned earlier and then I built out from that. Find that one thing you want in a room and it will make picking out the other accents easier. Lots of black, white, hints of gold, and emerald green for a pop of color. Emerald green could easily be swapped out for something different though if that isn’t your style. This wall piece would make it easy to switch that emerald out for pink!

Abundant opportunity for fun accent walls with this theme, don’t ya think? You could do a wall with black shiplap…gasp – yes black! Can’t picture it? Then I encourage you to jump on over to the Bright Green Door and take a look at what Jess’s friend, Heather, did with their bedroom. Beautiful. Maybe a black or white wall with pineapple decals? Or even wallpaper? Black and white stripes could give it a different look. Let your mind wander. If you are like me, you’ll end up thinking about your bedroom overlooking the beach behind your vacation home…mine of which is non-exisistant at the moment -but someday! What kind of themes are you into? I’ll take them into consideration for future posts. For real though…who is interested in a pineapple party???

Let me know!
