Less than a week?!  Can you guys believe that Christmas and Christmas Eve are in just a matter of days?  Yes, I list them both out because Christmas Eve is actually my favorite.  I wish that I could just press pause for awhile -not to get more things done (that would be nice too), but to be able to soak up the season longer.  This time of year could quite possibly be my favorite time of year and it always just comes and goes too dang quick!  I suppose that is part of what makes it so special or is it the drinks?

…Okay, probably the first, but holiday drinks are a bonus, aren’t they?  Recently I received this gorgeous marble pitcher sent from Keen Kutter and I knew that as a part of this collaboration I just had to whip up some yummy winter drinks.  You may have heard me say on my Instagram Stories last week that you can pour warm or cold beverages out of this beauty, soooo of course I am going to give you 1 warm and 1 cold beverage to sip on until the warmer months are upon us.  Snickerdoodle Hot Chocolate in Keen Kutter Marble Pitcher

Today I’m going to start with Snickerdoodle Hot Chocolate and within a few days I’ll be adding a Winter Moscow Mule to the post too!  These drinks are yummy on their own, but something about pouring a drink out of a fancy pitcher makes them taste that much better, anyone else ever feel this way?  Once I made these drinks I couldn’t decide if the pitcher was serenading me to drink from it or simply admire the pretty blush tones.  I did both and you can too :-).  If you missed my promo code at the top, use “sprinkledsunshinegift” at checkout for a free candle gift with your order from Keen Kutter.  Snickerdoodle Hot Chocolate in Keen Kutter Marble Pitcher

We’ve got a playhouse/swingset being setup outside as we speak.  I can’t wait to watch my little munchkins from the window!  However, for the time being, I now have all of the blinds shut and I’m keeping my fingers crossed that my boys won’t look out the window and see the surprise before we are ready to show them!

Okay, onto the Snickerdoodle Hot Chocolate Recipe – this is SO easy guys!  I was in IGA the other day grabbing milk and saw Sugar Cookie flavored milk by Prairie .  I stopped dead in my tracks.  I actually don’t like milk unless it is in my cereal, and even then I barely use it at all.  In hot chocolate I’m the person that is fine with a mix and water…but Sugar Cookie flavored milk is basically an advertisement for hot chocolate, you bet I grabbed that carton and used it in this recipe!Snickerdoodle Hot Chocolate in Keen Kutter Marble Pitcher

    • Sugar Cookie Flavored Milk
    • Cocoa Powder
    • Sugar
    • Cinnamon
    • Marshmallows Or Whip Cream…or both?
    • Cinnamon Sticks

So, first I just made a single serving.  I filled a regular coffee cup up with the Sugar Cookie Flavored Milk, leaving myself some room at the top.  I heated that in the microwave for 1 minute.  Then I stirred in 2 Tablespoons of Cocoa Powder, 1 Tablespoon of Sugar, and a sprinkle of Cinnamon -then heated in the microwave for another 45 minutes.  Yum, yum in my tum!  Top it off with your favorite white fluff, a sprinkle of cinnamon, and a cinnamon stick and you are ready to go.  Snickerdoodle Hot Chocolate in Keen Kutter Marble Pitcher

Now, what I realized is that this drink could probably go without any added sugar at all.  The Sugar Cookie Flavored Milk gives it a sweet enough flavor on it’s own.  I made a larger batch in the pitcher and still used only a Tablespoon of Sugar -anddd actually about a Cup of regular Milk because I didn’t have enough Sugar Cookie Flavored Milk, it tasted just as good.  So for anyone wanting to cut the sugar out, I think you could honestly omit it if you wanted to! Snickerdoodle Hot Chocolate in Keen Kutter Marble Pitcher

This is a perfect little twist on your normal hot chocolate that you can sip on around the Christmas tree next week.  Stay tuned for a naughtier drink…and by naughty I mean alcohol involved.  PS – I bet a little Vanilla Cinnamon Baileys would amp up your Snickerdoodle Hot Chocolate if that is your style…be back soon friends!
