Mornin’ ya’ll <3

With Easter just around the corner I bring to you a fun, girly way to decorate your Easter Eggs -and it is so quick! Decorating these beauties literally took me 5-10 minutes.  We also got one of the standard decorating kits from the store for the boys to do, they chose Mickey of course…that process took a bit longer and won’t be documented here :-).

Glitter Easter Eggs

You’ll need:

(The affiliate links above are to the products I used, but you could substitute another brand of glitter if you wanted, I used the Advantus gold and pink colors.  I’m not sure what you would use in place of the Mod Podge…Mod Podge is kind of like magic.  As these are affiliate links just a quick note that I could get a few cents for any clicks on any of the links in this post.)

So first things first, you’ll want to hard boil your eggs.  I am NOT going to give directions on how to do that in this post.  Why?  Because quite frankly, I’m the worst at it.  Someone please tell me what works best for them as it is hit or miss for me every dang time.  We found out these weren’t done to perfection pretty quickly when one of the boys dropped one on the floor and pure liquid came out -big fail!  So, needless to say we won’t be eating these eggs and will only have them on display until they go bad.

Brown & White Eggs

Once you’ve got your eggs ready (boiled or not), you are ready to decorate.  The only downside about these is the glitter can be kind of messy.  As long as you have newspaper down or something similar you’ll be fine.  Wherever you want glitter to be, glide on some Mod Podge with your paint brush.  I just did halves of the egg and lines because I was in a hurry, but you could easily do the whole egg too. I also kind of like the look of just a brown egg, it’s whatever your want!  Then you just roll the egg in glitter or sprinkle it on.  Mine didn’t look that great at first as you can see below….

Decorating eggs with glitter

I let them dry over night and then just wiped the excess glitter off with a paper towel… waaalaaaa – they look pretty!  Get the look below by throwing in a cute bowl and hand towel. I think these would look really pretty with a light blue too.  Check out Girl Inspired for these glitter eggs at an expertise level, I love her polka dots!

Glitter Easter Eggs That’s it folks, hope everyone has a Hoppy Easter :-).
